Couples therapy for relationships that feel stuck.
Break recurring cycles of conflict, withdrawal, resentment, and emotional avoidance.
You may still care deeply about each other, but the relationship has become dominated by recurring arguments, emotional distance, resentment, or silence.
One partner may push for answers or reassurance while the other becomes overwhelmed and withdraws. Conversations that begin with good intentions can quickly turn into criticism, defensiveness, blame, or shutdown.
Over time, both partners may feel misunderstood, rejected, or alone.
Couples therapy can help you slow down these painful interactions, understand what is happening beneath them, and begin responding to each other differently.
How couples therapy begins
Couples begin with a structured four-session assessment designed to help me understand your relationship, the patterns keeping you stuck, and what each of you hopes will change.
We meet together first, followed by an individual session with each partner. In the fourth session, we come back together to develop a shared understanding of the relationship and a focused plan for therapy.
